Ivan Serati to make his UFC debut in Dublin
(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Milan based Italian Light Heavyweight will
make his UFC debut at UFC 93 at the O2 Arena, Dublin, Ireland
against UFC veteran Tomasz
Drwal where he will have his 4 fight winning streak tested.
The suave Italian has earned his nickname as "Ivan the Terrible" due to his relentless work ethic inside and outside of the arena and intends to launch his UFC career with a bang. Serati is intending to train for this major fight at the Team Suregrip HQ in Southend, Essex, which is owned and operated by the famed trainer/promoter duo of Daniel and Alex Burzotta of the UWC (Ultimate Warrior Challenge).
Daniel is a former undefeated British Heavyweight Champion, who acts as the Head Coach at Team Sure Grip. Whilst his brother Alex manages the Italian Powerhouse and has guided him to the UFC after big wins at UWC, Cage Rage and Cage Warriors over the last two years.
To facilitate Ivan's UFC debut; Alex & Daniel Burzotta have enlisted Warrior Promotions, the UK's leading MMA agents, to handle all the media and sponsorship enquiries for the rising Italian star.

It is also the most successful UK management agency for aspiring MMA fighters and retains and constantly develops worldwide links within the sport. 2009 will herald an all new line up of the ‘British Warriors’ as an invincible force to dominate MMA around the world as it travels across Europe, Asia and the Americas in its quest for global submission. 2TUF2TAP, the signature brand owned by Warrior Promotions will also be surging back onto retailers shelves as part of a massive marketing and media campaign and spearheaded by a series of MMA events.
Serati is currently the only Italian 205lb fighter in the UFC and is known for his devastating early knockouts and ground & pound, with 8 of his current 10 wins coming by KO or TKO. With only 2 losses to his record Serati is in good form as he prepares to make his UFC debut in January 2009.
The show is already being reported as totally sold out of the 10,000 seats as the UFC make their first foray into the Emerald Isle. The event will be available on PPV and broadcast live on Setanta Sports TV.
Tony McDonagh A two year exponent of the sport, Serati was a late convert to MMA having previously been a pro boxer. However the 35 yr old powerhouse made an immediate impression on the Burzotta’s who have managed his MMA career to date and been instrumental in securing his exposure on UWC and the now defunct Cage Rage.
Serati signed terms with the UFC in September 2008 and promises to make his debut fight a heavy hitting war. The main event features an equally explosive bout as UFC superstars, Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson go head to head.
