JACKSONS MMA SERIES IV PRESS CONFERENCE

(PRESS RELEASE) -- A press conference will be held on March 8th at
2:00 PM in the Hard Rock Casino Albuquerque Showroom to announce
the upcoming April 9th, 2011 Jackson’s MMA Series IV Fight Card.
The April 9th Fight Card Main Event will feature a Women’s
Bantamweight Championship Fight pitting Team Jackson’s Julie Kedzie
against Minnesota Martial Arts Academy’s Kaitlin Young for the
Jackson’s 135 pound Women’s Bantamweight Championship Belt. This
Jackson’s Series Female Championship fight features two of the
world’s top 135 pound female fighters. Julie (15-8) is bringing a
three fight win streak to this matchup while Kaitlin (4-4) is
looking to get a win and a Championship Belt. Julie has fought for
the sport’s biggest promotions including EliteXC on Showtime and
Bodog Fights while Kaitlin fought on the most watched MMA event in
television history when she fought Gina Carano on CBS for EliteXC:
Primetime. This main event will surely be a candidate for 2011’s
Women’s MMA fight of the year.
There will also be a full Pro Card featuring Jackson’s MMA fighters Isaac Vallie-Flagg, Kelley Renee and Jodie Esquibel. Jodie is an accomplished professional boxer who fought Ji-Hyun Park in 2009 for the IFBA Strawweight Title in Bucheon, South Korea and she will be making her professional MMA debut.
The Amateur Card will be highlighted by two fights featuring contestants from the Edge Fighting Challenge Competition. The EFC competition allowed fans the opportunity to earn a spot on one of two teams - “The Arnold Schwarzenegger Project” and “Team Renegade”. There will be one women’s fight and one men’s fight with fighters representing both teams. This is a unique collaboration between Albuquerque’s Alternative Rock Station - 104.1 The Edge and Jackson’s MMA gym. Jackson’s MMA Gym has provided MMA Training and Coaches – John Dodson and Chad LeMoine – while the hosts of the “World Famous Buck and Dex Show” have been the Team Leaders and Celebrity Coaches. The event combines fast paced, exciting MMA action with live DJ music to provide MMA fans with a non-stop evening of entertainment.
