Hoboken, N.J. – It all comes down to one night for eight MMA fighters when Integrated Sports presents Hero’s Middle and Light Heavyweight Championship Tournament Final, a Pay-Per-View event held at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan.
Hero’s Middle and Light Heavyweight Tournament will be available in the United on November 3, 2006 at 9:00 pm ET on iN Demand and in Canada on Viewer’s Choice and Bell ExpressVu. The Pay-Per-View price is $29.95.
The event operates under Hero’s Rules, which feature two five-minute rounds with an option for a third round and allow for ground fighting. The event will showcase two four-man tournaments, one showcasing Middleweights, the other Light Heavyweights. Superfights will also be aired.
Marquee matchups include a Main Event Superfight battle between MMA legend Don Frye (Pictures) of the United States, a former UFC Champion, and Min Soo Kim (Pictures) from South Korea, who won an Olympic Silver medal in Judo.
Tournament bouts feature J. Z. Calvan from Brazil clashing with Japan’s Caol Uno (Pictures) and Judo master Yoshihiro Akiyama (Pictures) of Japan taking on kickboxer Melvin Manhoef (Pictures) of Holland.
