Hoboken, N.J. – K-1, the martial arts fighting sport, will present a three hour Pay-Per-View event, World Grand Prix 2006 Final Elimination, on Friday, October 27, 2006.

The broadcast features eight single-elimination battles with some of the biggest names in the sport. The winners of the Osaka contests advance to the prestigious K-1 World Grand Prix 2006, to be held at the Tokyo Dome on December 2.

World Grand Prix 2006 Final Elimination will be available on cable systems nationwide October 27, 2006 at 10 p.m. ET on iN DEMAND Pay-Per-View in the United States for only $29.95. It will also be shown on cable and satellite in Canada via Viewer’s Choice and Bell ExpressVu.

Marquee matchups include some of K-1’s biggest stars. Early fights pit crowd favorite Gary Goodridge (Pictures) (Trinidad and Tobago) vs. Remy Bojasky (Holland) and Semmy Schilt (Pictures) (Holland) vs. Bjorn Bregy (Switzerland). Japanese karate and seido kaikan expert Mushashi also squares off against German MMA specialist Chalid “Die Faust.” In an epic battle, French kickboxer Jerome Le Banner takes on 7’ 2” Hong-Man Choi, a ssireum fighter.
