comes! The biggest European MMA promotion KSW presents Martial Arts
Confrontation 13 – Kumite, May 7th in Katowice .
One of the two main attractions of the evening features the first title defense by Mamed Khalidov. The best MMA fighter in Poland squares off against the legendary Pride organization veteran Ryuta Sakurai. In the second main event bout five-time World Strongman Champion Mariusz Pudzianowski faces Deep Megaton Champion Yusuke Kawaguchi.
The above are not the only exciting fights on KSW 13 card. All Mixed Martial Arts fans in Katowice ’s Spodek and those watching it live on Polsat will also see KSW Federation World Middleweight Title Bout. In that fight KSW veteran Krzysztof Kulak challenges Brazilian Vitor Nobrega, who won eighty-five kilograms tournament on the last KSW show. Heavyweight tournament final with Latvian Konstantin Gluhov versus American wrestler David Olivia completes the four-bout set of extra fights.
Every “Martial Arts Confrontation” event features tournament bouts. It is also true this time. Eight formidable warriors will battle it out in the ring to earn the right to fight for the KSW title in the tournament final on the next KSW show. Polish team includes: Jan Blachowicz (Mauy Thai World Champion, KSW Team member), Wojciech Orlowski (Pawel Nastula understudy, multiple medalist of Polish and international wrestling competitions) and Lukasz Skibski (Polish Brazilian Jiu Jitsu legend Piotr Baginski understudy), who earned the spot in the tournament by winning the special elimination fight. Polish fighters will compete against: Daniel Tabera (Spaniard, top European light heavyweight fighter), Antonio Mendes (former UFC fighter, KSW 7 tournament champion), Thai Champion, born in Brazil Julio Brutus, Armenian Grigor Aschugbabjan and Attila Vegh. With all the tournament fights set, we would also like to announce that for the first time in six-year KSW history there will be a reserve fighter Tomasz Molski from Olsztyn’s MMA Arrachion, who in case someone gets injured will replace him.
We can boldly announce that thirteenth Martial Arts Confrontation is the most stacked MMA fight card to ever happen in Poland .
