Karina Aznavourian appointed as Fencing Ambassador of 2013 World Combat Games

Ambassadors Programme of 2013 SportAccord World Combat Games is
pleased to announce Karina Aznavourian as one of its Ambassadors.
She was appointed this honour by the Federation Internationale
d’Escrime (FIE).
Sports Ambassadors’ role is to engage in promotion of their sports and the world of martial arts & combat sports as a whole via press conferences, radio and television interviews, as well as publications in international and Russian newspapers and magazines.
Some of the achivements of Aznavourian include: Olympic Champion in Sydney and Athenes (team competitions), Bronze medallist of the Olympic Games in Atlanta (team competitions), World Champion in 2003 (team competitions), European Champion in 2004 (team competitions).
Currently, she is the director of the Specialised Fencing School of Olympic Reserve in Moscow. She organised master class for children in 2012 and invited Ms Timea Nagi (HUN) to take part in it. In addition, Aznavourian has taken part in numerous radio and TV broadcasts related to fencing.

SportAccord World Combat Games is an international sporting event which promotes values of self-control, determination and technical mastery. The Martial Arts and Combat Sports integrate elements of culture, wisdom, friendship to create an elite sports competition - the Art of Combat.
