London welcomes Foster

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Former UFC welterweight Brian Foster (15-5-0) arrived in London this morning ahead of his Cage Warriors 44 clash with Jack ‘The Stone’ Mason, which is now less than two weeks away.

The duo will meet at the HMV Forum in Kentish Town on Saturday, October 1, which will be Foster’s first fight since his win over Matt Brown at UFC 123 last November. A health scare earlier this year has kept the 27-year-old out of action but the Oklahoma native has now received medical clearance and makes his long-awaited return to the cage in London.

“I’m really excited to be here in London,” said Foster, who’ll be fighting outside of the USA for just the second time in his professional career. His only other trip abroad saw him defeated by Chris Lytle via first round submission at UFC 110 in Sydney, Australia in February 2010. Despite being medically released by the UFC, Foster has been tipped for a swift return and a win over Mason would certainly help.

“I haven’t been able to fight for quite a while so I’m really looking forward to doing so again. Cage Warriors is a great show with an awesome reputation and it’s a pleasure to be involved. I’ll work hard for the next couple of weeks and be in good shape for my fight.”

Foster will train at the MMA Clinic in Angel to tune up for his bout with Mason (17-8-0). Keep an eye on www.CageWarriors.com this week for an exclusive interview with the ex-UFC star.

Foster v Mason will co-headline Cage Warriors 44 at the HMV Forum in London on October 1, along with the CWFC lightweight title bout between Joseph Duffy and Ivan Musardo. Get your tickets from www.CageWarriors.com.
