Luminus Group, Inc., announces Call to Arms I mixed martial arts event
The fight will take place on May 16, 2009 at the brand new Citizens
Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California
. The May 16, 2009 event will feature ten well-balanced and exciting bouts consisting of some of the best up-and-coming talent MMA has to offer. It will be the first ever MMA event held at the Inland Empire’s newest venue: the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif.
MMA is, without a doubt, the fastest growing sport in the U.S. and around the world, and is poised for continued expansion. Yet, as far as the sport has come in the past few years, one of the drawbacks many critics note is the emphasis on death, sex and militaristic violence by many of the companies involved with MMA events. CleanKill Clothing believes this is not the only way to approach MMA. Instead, they seek to present a new and unique event, providing a great show for the fans, with the ultimate goal of positively promoting the sport of MMA.
Call to Arms I will be an occasion with a strong sense of mission, purpose and values – attributes CleanKill wants to emphasize. This occasion is planning to be more than just a series of high-quality MMA bouts. It will be a true event that is first and foremost audience-friendly, providing the perfect opportunity to display an example of the changing face of MMA and what it can be when focused on the aspects of excellence, self-discipline and strength that have come to define the martial arts.
In addition, Luminus Group is committed to the charitable opportunities of putting on such an event. They have chosen to donate 25 percent of the event’s proceeds toward various charitable donations – including one to help get kids off the streets and into the gym.
We are equally excited that Ontario’s brand new Citizens Business Bank Arena will host the inaugural Call to Arms I event. The venue – run by the same company as Los Angeles’ Staples Center – opened in Oct. 2008 and has already hosted numerous high profile sporting events and concerts. The spacious, well-lit and comfortable arena will ensure that all 10,000 spectators will have a great view of the action.
We will be providing much more information regarding Call to Arms I in the coming weeks. For more news and press information regarding the event, please visit www.calltoarmsfights.com or call 858.521.0189 x114.
