MMA Legend Fights Main Event at Local Venue

(PRESS RELEASE) -- This January 22nd, the XFO, the Midwest’s
premier mixed martial arts organization will hold its first event
of the year at the Woodstock Harley Davidson in Woodstock, IL with
XFO 38: Pulver vs. Lindquist- Located at 2050 S. Eastwood in
Woodstock IL, XFO-38 will feature the organizational debut of first
ever and former UFC Lightweight Champion and decorated MMA
superstar, Jens “Lil Evil” Pulver.
A devastating striker with a legendary left hook, Pulver, better known as Lil Evil, is looking to rebound from a series of upset losses, where he once reigned as Champ, over the past few years. The fight will mark Pulver’s first fight since joining Chicagoland’s top mixed martial arts camp Team Curran. Now training with a team renowned for turning out top-tier jiu jitsu fighters and knockout specialists, Pulver will look to test his improving skill set against veteran Moline, IL fighter Mike Lindquist. Lindquist is Illinois’s ranked #5 featherweight and has fought among the some of the best in the world at 145lbs.
The professional portion of this Pro-Am card will highlight the Las Vegas female phenom Michele Gutierrez, former IFL veteran Mike Corey as well as the promotional debut of Team Curran fighter Joey “The Real” Diehl.
In addition to 6 professional bouts, XFO 38 will showcase over a dozen fights with the area’s best up and coming amateurs set amongst the backdrop of America’s #1 motorcycle muscle in Harley Davidson.
