MTV-Tr3s Grabs Top MMA Executive

(PRESS RELEASE) -– MTV-Tres, the Spangish pop-culture network,
acquired the services of one Diana Ocampo to head its San Diego
operations. Ocampo, the CEO of Total Combat Entertainment has
accepted the position of general manager for the MTV-Tres San
Diego/Baja California region. This is the first true merger of
mixed martial arts and Latino television. Ocampo, who has run Total
Combat since it’s inception in 2003, has brokered many television
deals and has promoted a variety of entertainment ventures world
wide. Ocampo brings the type of executive experience that will
boost not only the ratings of MTV-Tr3s, but the quality of the
programming.
Ocampo states “I will still maintain my position as CEO of Total Combat. I believe that the two companies compliment each other perfectly. Being a Latina, I understand what many people in my region want in quality programming. Moreover my experience in promoting and discovering new talent gives me the skills I need to bring it to them” When asked if there will be any Total Combat events aired on MTv-Tres, Ocampo answered simply “Yes”.
Brian Piepenbrink, the director of PR and media for Total Combat was asked if he was concerned about Ocampo’s added job duties. He stated: “Absolutely not. The network wanted the best and they got the best. This marriage will only add to the marketability of both organizations. Diana is world class when it comes to running and managing entertainment mediums. Everyone here at Total Combat supports her one hundred percent”.
MTV-Tr3s is a pop-culture channel that showcases a mixture of both Spanish and English television. Many of the standard MTV titles can be viewed on MTV-Tr3s as well as programming unique to the Spanish market.
Total Combat is a mixed martial arts promotion that is in its sixth year of existence. Incredibly it has already produced 32 events throughout the southwestern United States and Mexico and can be viewed on television in three continents. Popular fighters such as Kendall Grove (Pictures), War Machine (Pictures), Ed Ratcliff (Pictures), Robert Emerson (Pictures) and Eddie Sanchez (Pictures) began their careers in Total Combat.
