Monterey Bay Fight Club Presents 'Coastal Collision'

(PRESS RELEASE) -- This Saturday, December 11th, the Monterey Bay Fight Club presents "Coastal Collision" an amateur Mixed Martial Arts showdown featuring some of the top fighters from Northern California.

Combatants from Watsonville, Santa Cruz, Aptos, Salinas, San Jose, San Francisco, Bakersfield, Napa and Newman, all of whom are vying to be the next MMA star, will battle in bouts sanctioned by the California Amateur Martial Arts Organization (C.A.M.O.) a governing body for amateur MMA in California. The Monterey Bay Fight club was formed by four-time world champion boxer, Carina "La Reina" Moreno, and her business partners. Proceeds from the show will benefit sports and academic scholarships for students at Carina's alma mater, Watsonville.High School

"This is our first show and we want it to be special," stated Moreno. "The fact that we are raising money for students at WatsonvilleHigh School is the main reason I think people should come support this show. In addition fans will enjoy action packed fights throughout the night. The goal is to build a great foundation and bring big fights to the Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. I plan to fight sometime next year under the Monterey Bay Fight Club promotional banner."
