(PRESS RELEASE) -- On Friday June 10th , New York City’s Friday Night Fights returns with it’s fourth installment of the Friday Night Fights Series. This event will be a pro / am card featuring several of the region’s top Muay Thai fighters.

The Friday Night Fights though regional, is one of the most well-known fight promotions in the country and is best known for consistently sold out shows in New York City. President of Friday Night Fights, Justin Blair said “We’re really very excited about the upcoming card - we’ve got some very interesting matches lined up and without question - this will kick off a great summer season for Friday Night Fights”.

The card will feature 2 UFC veterans in separate matches - Brodie Farber (13-6) and Phillipe Nover (5-3) will both make their Friday Night Fights debut in separate matches. While the MMA is not legal in New York, New Yorkers are eager for a chance to see these fighters in the intimate setting that the Friday Night Fights is known for.

When asked how he felt about making his return to the ring on the New York City’s Legendary Friday Night Fights, Brodie Farber replied “I heard its a great show from a couple guys out here at Tiger.

Training hard and cant wait to get back in the ring on a legitimate show like Friday Night Fights in one of the best cities in the world”. Additionally, Phillipe Nover, a native New Yorker is also looking forward to his chance to compete on the Friday Night Fights “.Fighting Muay Thai in New York is a great way to jump back into the mix. I took sometime off and I feel that there is no better time than now to step back into training. Having the fight in my home town of New York is a dream come true!” Said Nover.

The card will also feature Robert Blake vs Chris “The Polish Punisher” Kwiatkowski. Kwiatkowski’s 5 fight win streak ended in March when he fought to a controversial draw against the extremely experienced veteran, Harris Norwood.

Additional fights on the card include the Canadian Champion as well as former Canadian WKA National Champion Micheal Dougherty vs Liam Tarrant. This will be the Liam’s first fight back in the ring in over 6 months. Liam reports “I'm excited to be back on June 10th. The Friday Night Fights crowd always has a great energy and I'm training hard to bring home the win”

One other notable match is Rima Sidhu vs Tiffany Connell. Both fighters have impressive amateur careers and will be making their pro debut. Full amateur undercard will be posted shortly. Tickets are $100, $80, $60 & $40 each & are available at www.fridaynightfights.com.
