(PRESS RELEASE) -- Dave “The Badman” Huckaba’s Next Generation
Fighting Championships is proud to present “The Beginning” going
down Saturday September 10th. The event is being held at BJ Collins
Army Reserve Base located in Sacramento, California. Next
Generation Fighting Championships is teaming up with the Army
reserve to promote active lifestyles for today’s youth, and
encouraging them to get off the couch and watching television to
start playing the sport of their choice.
Unlike most events which are held at 18 and over casinos, fans are encouraged to make this event a family night out as the venue is going to have a carnival atmosphere for the kids. There will be 2 live bands (SOVERN & PRYLOSIS) playing at the event; along with plenty of food and merchandise vendors. There will be plenty of activities for the kids such as face painting, bouncy houses, rock walls, and a mechanical bull.
In the Main Event, two former heavyweight champions collide as Carnage MMA’s Drew Montgomery takes on Team Alpha Male’s Jeromy Freitag. This fight has been talked about for a long time and now it is finally going down September 10th. Both of these two powerful heavyweights promise to deliver fireworks when these heavy hitters exploded inside the cage.
The Co. Main Event is a lightweight battle between Darrin Cooley and Mike Christensen. This is definitely a grudge match as these 2 fighters don’t care too much for one another. I was able to catch up with both fighters today to get there opinions’ on their upcoming bout; Mike Christensen said “We’ve been going back and forth verbally for a long time; He’s been dodging me. I’ve been trying to fight Darrin for a long time now. I will believe it when I see him at the weigh-ins”. When I caught up with Cooley he replied, “The guy started out strong but has been slipping up lately, conveniently losing by a guillotine choke. I’m going to exploit that weakness by punching him in the face and slipping in a guillotine of my own”. As a true fight fan I personally can’t wait for these two fighters to meet in the center of the cage!!! Do not miss this event it is going to be a “Knock Out”
