OC Promoter Comments on Canceled Show

Jul 27, 2009
(PRESS RELEASE) -- Orange County fight promoter Roy Englebrecht, who was the promoter of record on the very first Affliction show Affliction Banned in 2008, and was also retained by Affliction Entertainment to assist them on both the Day of Reckoning and Trilogy shows issued the following statement today:

"I want all Southern California fight fans to know that in spite of the developments over the past week, that their will be a quality Mixed Martial Arts show in Orange County in August, and it will be our SummerFist 3 show on Saturday, August 15th at the Irvine Marriott. Seven quality mma bouts featuring all So Cal fighters, a live DJ, and a small MMA Expo will make up a great evening of sports and entertainment for the fans. Show information is online at www.battleintheballroom.com.

Plus, knowing the disappointment of the thousands of fans who had purchased tickets to Trilogy, I am pleased to announce a special ticket offer to all of them. For the SummerFist 3 show on August 15th, all fans with a Trilogy ticket or ticket receipt can purchase tickets to SummerFist 3 at HALF PRICE. Now they can attend this great show for only $20 or $25. Fans can take advantage of this Half Price offer by contacting Drew at 949-760-3131 or fightpromotions@gmail.com.

I also want to mention that everything that has transpired over the past week is one of the reasons I developed and launched the Fight Promoter University concept two years ago. One of the goals of FPU was to make sure that fans and fighters, much less promoters never have to experience the cancellation of a show, and the disappointed that comes with it."
