Owned Entertainment Announces Original Artists To Rep “OWN3D” MMA Movie

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Owned Entertainment Inc. president James Hergott announced today that the premiere boutique agency Original Artists (www.original-artists.com) will rep the MMA movie “Own3d” for sales and distribution. Original Artists has represented clients behind some of the best selling recent martial arts movies including NEVER BACK DOWN ($25Million US Box Office), THE KARATE KID ($177 Million US Box Office) and FEARLESS ($25 MILLION US Box Office). “Own3d” is written and produced by James Hergott and will be directed by Bobby Razak. Original Artists agent Chris Sablan comments; “As an agent at Original Artists, and as a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioner and fan of the sport, I have read several MMA scripts across the years. In fact, several have come across my desk and I have passed on them. “Own3d” I believe has the perfect combination of MMA and a great story. ”

About James Hergott

James Hergott was born in Cornwall, Ontario in 1976 and grew up in Cobourg, Ontario. Always an imaginative spirit, Hergott's film career began in high school at age thirteen when he got his first home video camera. His cast and crew were comprised of other kids in his neighborhood. Hergott's first feature film "All That I Need" debuted at the Cannes International Film Festival Market in 2005 as part of a roster of films presented by Beverly Hills production company Imperia Entertainment, Inc. Following the success of the film at Cannes, Imperia decided to offer Hergott the presidency of the company, a challenge he eagerly accepted. In December 2005, Hergott was able to secure a limited national theatrical release of "All That I Need" with Regal Entertainment Group, the largest motion picture exhibitor in the world. In early spring of 2007 Hergott resigned from his positions at Imperia in order to take greater creative and fiscal control over his future endeavors. In 2009 he wrote, directed and produced ten episodes of the MMA reality show "MMA Worldwide" distributed nationally on HDNET. Later that year he traveled to Iraq and filmed a documentary about the first ever MMA Fight in Iraq titled "A Fight For The Troops." In 2010 he wrote and executive produced the exclusive UFC Champion Georges St-Pierre documentary "The Striking Truth".

About Bobby Razak

As a young boy growing up in Tottenham, London, England, Bobby Razak found himself extremely inspired by the art of film. Movies such as "Spartacus," "Enter the Dragon," and "Casablanca" triggered Bobby's dream to become a filmmaker. Determined to not let his dream go, Razak moved from England to Los Angeles, CA to pursue his career in film. Once in L.A., Bobby began working for various production companies until he was able to raise the money to produce and direct the critically acclaimed documentary, "Rites of Passage." The film explores the world of mixed martial arts (MMA) and enters the minds of the athletes featured providing a one of a kind, thoughtful, and introspective view of the MMA world. "Rites of Passage," was screened at Sundance Film Festival and appeared on In-Demand PPV across the USA. Pushing the boundaries, Bobby's next film, "Pit Fight," was shot on 35mm film and contains real bare-knuckle fighting. "Pit Fight" was premiered in the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, was screened at the Berlin Film Festival, and won numerous visual awards from around the world. Still passionate about his work, Bobby has filmed commercials and movies for several national brands including TapouT, Dethrone and Ecko Unlimited. In 2010 he completed work on three feature length MMA documentaries including action directing “The Striking Truth” and directed “Sangre Neuva” (Staring UFC heavyweight Cain Velasquez) as well as the history of MMA.
