(PRESS RELEASE) -- Paul Daley is set to face Igor Fernandes in a headlining Welterweight clash at BAMMA 16, as the promotion returns to its trademark form at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester (UK) on 13th September. The event marks BAMMA's first return to Manchester since BAMMA 5, where Paul Daley knocked out Yuja Shirai, 1:46 into Round 1.

Flying in from Rio de Janeiro for BAMMA 16, Igor Fernandes brings a record of 18-6 since 2007 and is on a 6 fight win streak The Brazilian's last outing saw him defeat Rudy Bears via Anaconda Choke, just one fight after Paul Daley demolished Bears via TKO at Bellator in 2013. Fernandes' losses since 2007 have come against former UFC fighters Luis Ramos and Erick Silva, and also Brazilian Top Team's Gleristone Santos. Fernandes has a 78% Submission win rate.

Household name, Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley is famously one the world’s most notorious and exciting fighters, globally renowned for his explosive knock out power. With a current professional MMA record of 34-13-2, 74% of Daley's total wins have been achieved by KO or TKO, and Daley has won 5 out of his last 6 MMA bouts. Fighting out of his own Spirit Dojo, Daley is signed exclusively to BAMMA for MMA in the UK and last delivered a stunning KO for the promotion at BAMMA 13 when he deposed Romario da Silva. Daley also holds a 17-3 kickboxing record and has gone 4-0 this year, all with KO victories.
