PURECOMBAT: FROM THE ASHES

Nov 26, 2007
Saturday, December 1st, PURECOMBAT: FROM THE ASHES roars into the Visalia Convention Center with professional mixed martial arts. The newly redesigned Visalia Convention Center will host 13 professional cage fights, including a bout for the PURECOMBAT World Welterweight Title.

In the main event, reality TV star and UFC veteran Jason von Flue battles Team Quest's Brett Cooper (Pictures). Von Flue, a kickboxer fighting out of the Pit in San Luis Obispo, is known as a tough standup fighter with a good grappling base, much like his teammate Chuck Liddell (Pictures). Cooper, fighting out of Temecula, CA, is a new breed of wrestler, one who uses his wrestling background to stand and bang. These two warriors, training out of the country's top gyms, should bring an explosive end to a night of dynamite fights.

In the co-main event, Coarsegold's Anthony ‘THE A TRAIN' Ruiz faces Rafael Del Real. Ruiz, central California's hardest working light heavyweight, is known for his nonstop aggressive fighting style. He comes into this fight from a recent victory over Pride veteran Francisco Bueno. Del Real, one of the most controversial heavyweights in central California. A brawler turned submission wrestler, Del Real's power should clash with Ruiz's constant offense for a war.

Also in the main event, lightweight John Reedy (John Reedy' class='LinkSilver'>Pictures) takes on ‘Fallen Angel' Dominique Robinson (Pictures). Reedy is a powerful wrestler training with some of the best kickboxers in the sport. Robinson, a veteran from the cage fighting circuits in Mexico, is a boxer and submission wrestler. Both fighters are hungry for a win and their aggressive styles might make for a quick, brutal bout.

Don't miss the first cage fight at the newly remodeled Visalia Convention Center. Doors open at 5:30pm and fights start at 7PM on Saturday, December 1st. For tickets, call the Visalia Convention Center box office at 559-713-4040 or buy tickets online at www.tickets.com. Buy soon, tickets sell fast!
