RENO’S KELLEY RENEE CHASING HER DREAM, TRAINING WITH MMA LEGEND GREG JACKSON

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Reno’s Kelley Renee is ensconced in a top level
mixed martial arts training camp in Albuquerque, New Mexico as she
pursues her dream of becoming a world champion.
After her first MMA bout, a first round arm bar tap out of Nicole Johnson on August 28th in Fallon, Nevada, the longtime Northern Nevada resident was invited to work with legendary trainer Greg Jackson at his gym in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Training alongside the best in MMA, including Georges St. Pierre,
Rashad Evans and Jon Jones to name a few, Kelley has been inspired
as she continues to challenge herself towards her dream of becoming
a world champion.
“I love training here in Albuquerque, competing with these world class athletes everyday is truly inspiring. It’s a lot of hard work, but I’m thrilled and honored that they’ve made me a part of their team” said Kelley.
With her next bout set for April 9th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Albuquerque, Kelley is looking to stay busy in 2011. She is also hoping to fight back home in the Reno/Lake Tahoe area this year along with other top fighters from Greg Jackson’s gym.
About her background, Kelley stated “I have been competing in Jiu Jitsu at the elite level having earned a brown belt under Charles Gracie and have been involved in martial arts for over fourteen years. Having a competitive nature and always wanting to challenge myself I wanted to try mixed martial arts, I love it!”
For more than a decade, Kelley co-owned and operated Freestyle Martial Arts Academy in Reno, NV. Having trained men, women and children, Kelley is looking to set an example that there are no limits of what can be achieved. “I'm a firm believer in leading by example; I would also like to inspire other women to follow their dreams and to know there are no limits!”
Kelley will break camp for a couple of days this week as she heads to Las Vegas to support Jon Jones and Donald Cerrone in their bouts at UFC 126 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
