RUFF 5 draws nearly 1.3 million TV viewers

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Making history as China’s first-ever
live-televised MMA broadcast, RUFF 5, which aired on both the
Jiangsu Sports Channel and the Guangzhou Sports Channel, was seen
by a TV audience of nearly 1.3-million viewers on September 8.
Also made available online via PPTV and QQ / Tencent, RUFF 5 attracted roughly one percent of all potential viewing households in the televised regions, an impressive feat for a first-time airing, and a clear indicator that the Chinese viewing public is ready for RUFF’s brand of domestic Chinese MMA.
RUFF 5 will now go into regular re-airing across China, while RUFF 4 continues to add to its 4.25-million combined viewers through re-broadcasts.
On September 7, 2.6-million viewers watched RUFF 4 on the Chongqing Satellite Channel, while an additional 1.1 million watched on Jiangsu Sports Channel on September 3.
