Resilience Fight Gear signs Mike Markham to first known Ring Announcer Sponsorship

(PRESS RELEASE) -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Resilience Fight Gear and professional ring announcer Mike Markham have agreed to a sponsorship arrangement that is believed to be the first of its kind. The arrangement calls for Markham to wear Resilience logos on the backs of his tuxedo jackets during Mixed Martial Arts shows for the remainder of 2011 and beyond.

“We might just be one of the first to start a trend in sponsoring more than just the fighters or events,” Resilience Fight Gear’s Andre Botha said.

Markham is also excited about the revolutionary nature of the arrangement. “I am thrilled to be a part of the Resilience stable,” Markham said. “I look forward to a partnership with a brand that has just proven its willingness to think outside of the box and be dynamic.”

Markham’s first event with Resilience will be Imperial Fighting’s September 10th event at Charlotte, North Carolina’s historic Grady Cole Center - the site of UFC 3 in 1994. Resilience and Markham plan to continue the arrangement for various MMA shows along the East Coast and beyond.
