Reynolds Forced to Withdraw from M-1 Challenge XXI

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Suffering a knee injury in training, Eric Reynolds is forced to withdraw from his bout against Yuri ‘The Cable Guy’ Ivlev at M-1 Challenge XXI: Guram vs. Garner; stepping into the bout as his replacement is German submission specialist, David Weichel. The event takes place Thursday October 28th at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia and will stream live for viewers worldwide starting at 11:30am EST / 8:30am PST on M-1 Global’s official site, www.M-1Global.com.

“Having to withdraw always leaves a bitter taste in the mouths of both fighters, especially this close to the event,” says Evgeni Kogan, Director of Operations for M-1 Global. “As unfortunate as it is for Reynolds, the fans are rewarded with an incredible replacement. Weichel’s submission skills are a dead match for Ivlev. This is another amazing fight.”
