Gary Whittaker is the host of The Franchise Montreal, a radio show which can be heard every weekend morning on Montreal’s Sports Authority, The Team 990 (CKGM). Since 2007, Gary Whittaker’s regular presence at mixed martial art events has earned him a growing fan base and the respect of his peers. Ringside MMA is proud to have Gary Whittaker as an on-camera presence, where he will bring his dynamism as a show host, and professionalism as a MMA journalist to his role as announcer. Eric O’Keefe, who is a well known respected coach at the world renowned Tristar Gym in Montreal, and who has cornered fighters at local events, as well as on the international scene, will be the other half of this dynamic announcing team for Ringside MMA. Eric O’Keefe has been involved with developing strategies for some of Quebec’s best fighters, such as George St-Pierre, David Loiseau and Jonathan Goulet, as well as international notables Denis Kang on Tom “Kong” Watson. “I believe that this pairing of Gary Whittaker and Eric O’Keefe will be very well received by our audience”, said Eric Champoux, President of Ringside MMA. “Gary’s broadcasting talents will bring a strong level of excitement to each match, while Eric’s vast knowledge will allow our audience to better grasp and understand the strategies being undertaken by the fighters. We are proud to have been able to combine these two important MMA personalities into a team for our PPV viewing audience”.
