Vale Tudo Live from Brazil
Rio De Janeiro, Brazil - The cage is set and the fighters are ready. As the sun goes down on the east coast of South America, eight warriors will converge from the gyms and streets of Brazil to see if they have what it takes to become the next Rio Hero.
Seven hungry gladiators set their sights on RioHeroes Heavyweight Champ, Marcelo "Broa" Mendes. The last time Broa stepped into the RioHeroes steel cage, he defeated some of the toughest Vale Tudo masters, including Pedro "Stone Hands" Santos, in the grueling finale of Rio Heroes 7. On Tuesday night, October 16, at 7 p.m. EST, Broa will once again display why he is the best pound-for-pound heavyweight fighter in the world's purest Vale Tudo fighting league, RioHeroes. Standing in Broa's path are seven newcomers to the ring, all of them hungry to prove they have what it takes beat this ferocious monster.
The first qualifying match features gargantuan heavyweights Thiago "Big Monster" Santos and Fabio Santos. In the second bout, Sergio "Kamikaze" Silva, known for his accurate powerful right hand, takes on Salvador Minniti, an infamous streetfighter. The third qualifier pits Egidio "Shadow" Amaro versus the cold-blooded Bruno Caldas Carvalho. In the final qualifier, Judo and Jiu Jitsu master Fabio "Bill" Goes battles Broa, the City of God's talk of the town after winning RioHeroes 7. If RioHeroes 7 was any indicator, Broa is not going down easy.
