'Rocktagon' Amateur MMA Fight series Signs with GFL

(PRESS RELEASE) -- GFL Combat Sports Network is proud to announce
its latest expansion in the emerging amateur MMA fight category by
signing a video distribution agreement with the rising popular
Rocktagon MMA. Rocktagon MMA will start by airing its first VOD
event in the “Amateur Elite Series 5” on www.gfl.tv on April 24,
2011. The series will begin its journey in Elyria, Ohio and begin
moving the series to California, Texas and points beyond.
Keith Evans, VP of Operations at GFL, says, “We at GFL are excited about Rocktagon. We believe Rocktagon has their finger on the pulse of “Raw and Uninhibited” MMA. They approach the amateur game in a music underground way with big emphasis on fighters putting their future and their hearts on the line. Another thing that really works for them is the way they promote events more like a Warped Rock Concert versus a regional High School wrestling tournament. anticipated lightweight title unification matches in amateur MMA
history. Reigning lightweight champions Garret “The Sickness”
Sahene and Marcus Washington will go head to head in the Rocktagon
arena to determine who will reign as the “Rocktagon Unified
Lightweight Champion.”
First event will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Midway Mall in Elyria, Ohio and not available on live iPPV, however available on April 24, 2011 on GFL VOD.
