Rocktagon MMA Elite 7 Results

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Rocktagon's MMA Elite Series 7 blew the roof off of the Historic Westside Masonic Temple in Cleveland, Ohio Saturday night with an A-List amateur fight card that kept the sold out crowd out of their seats and glued to the cage. Fans were treated to 10 bouts that caused the Historic Westside Masonic Temple to erupt.

Brandon "So-Ku" Seyler, (5-1) from Non Stop MMA captured the Rocktagon Elite Series 135lb title with an upset win over Rob Miller (11-3), from Team Bundy with a TKO submission victory via a Guillotine Choke. The capacity crowd was on their feet throughout the fight as both challenger and champion put on a MMA clinic for the fans of Cleveland. Following the contest the new champion was asked if he would be a fighting champion and give Miller a rematch. Seyler simply stated "Yes! I will be a fighting champion and defend my title against anyone." In true sportsmanship fashion, Miller rasied Seyler's hand in victory. Miller also sent a message to the new champion "Brandon deserves the title, but it is still mine and I am coming back for it." Rocktagon executives James Jeda and Lorenzo Gentile stated that a rematch could possibly be in the works.

The battle for Rocktagon supremacy was waged in the featured bout of the evening as Roger Blankenship (5-4) from Team Painland defeated Mark "Hollywood" MacDonald (4-5) from Rusty Cage Fight club via a split decision. The three round "Cleveland vs. Pittsburgh" WAR saw both fighters exchanging bombs and at times, both were visibly hurt, but pride, determination, and victory kept both men in the middle of the cage fighting as if it was their last bout. When the final bell rang the crowd erupted and wanted more. There was no clear cut winner and the crowd was split. It was up to the judges to decide who the victor was. Judges John Kloook and John Prochaska scored the contest 29-28 for Blankenship while Judge Shelia mason scored it 30-28 for MacDonald. An emotional Blankenship addressed the capacity crowd and stated "This was a huge victory for me. No one gave me a chance and I carried a lot of weight on my shoulders going into this fight that has now been lifted."
