Sin City Fight Club

(PRESS RELEASE) -- William "Soco" McAlister, of Roswell, Georgia, may very well become Atlanta's best-known sports promoter by the end of only his first year of producing fights in the city. His company, SIN CITY FIGHT CLUB (SCFC), is the premiere Mixed Martial Arts event production and coordinating company in the Southeast. SCFC fights blend a sexually charged, high-energy Vegas-style atmosphere with Extreme Cage Fighting Events.

McAlister, a Florida native, sold out his first fight at Atlanta's Center Stage in midtown this past May. Looking forward, Sin City seems likely to repeat their success with their forthcoming Redline Grand Prix Round 1 competition being held at Center Stage on October 10th, 2009. Redline is sponsoring the series of three contents produced by Sin City over the next few months. The series promises to answer the question of "Just who is the baddest Cage Fighter in the Southeast?”

The tournament is Georgia’s first Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) series to reward the winner with more than $12,000 dollars in total cash. The competition will pit eight of the Southeast's toughest 185-pound cage fighters in a three-bout, single-elimination tournament to determine who can claim they are the undisputed best of the region. Each bout will consist of three 3-minute rounds. The second bout of the tournament will be held in November on Friday the 13th. The third and deciding bout date will be in January of 2010.

Sin City is also hosting an event on October 9th named, "A Night at Sin City!" This Vegas themed event will transform Tongue and Groove, a popular Atlanta hot spot, into a casino for one night to raise money for Safehouse Outreach.

The talent selected to compete in the Redline Grand Prix tournament are a handpicked group of diverse individuals who share a history of winning, a hunger for a higher level of competition, and a desire to be labeled among the best of the Southeast's rapidly growing roster of professional MMA athletes.

Fighters entered in the Redline Grand Prix include Aaron “Tex” Johnson, George Allen, Douglas Lima, Clint Hester, Scott Harper, John Troyer, Eddie Hernandez, and Cortez Colemen. Also on the undercard are local favorites, Eddie Walker, Elliot Teimann, Stephen Upchurch, Jeremy Wallace, and Sid Bargo.

Aaron “Tex” Johnson, the local "bad boy" of MMA, is a former football player and holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Johnson has finished his last three fights in less than a minute and a half—combined!

Johnson, who is excited to fight under McAlister, states, "Soco's production level's quality is rivaled only by the U.F.C."

Johnson is pleased that Sin City, "Goes the extra mile when it comes to allowing the sport's fans to participate in his programs. Sin City hosts pre- and post-fight events where fans are allowed to meet the fighters and party with winners," says Johnson.

Another fan favorite participating again in Sin City's next fight is Clint “Headbuster” Hester. Hester, who once participated in unsanctioned illegal underground fights, says "Soco is by far the most legitimate promoter of the sport I have worked with to date." He (Soco) cares about his fighters and really loves the sport. His fights provide an energy-charged Vegas-style fight atmosphere previously unavailable for the sports fans in Georgia," says Hester.
