"Smokin" Joe Heiland to Make MFC Debut on HDNet September 26th

CLEVELAND -- One of the Midwest’s top MMA prospects will be heading north of the border this fall as part of a new three fight contract with one of the Premier MMA organizations out of Canada, Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC).

A former amateur national champion and NAAFS fighter of the year in 2006, Heiland has continued to impress fans and insiders alike as a professional compiling an overall record of 10-0 while fighting exclusively at 170 lbs. Full terms of the new agreement were not disclosed, however Heilands first bout in the MFC will also mark his debut at 155 lbs. “We feel Joe will be very successful at his new weight class just as he was at 170,” stated Attorney Pablo A. Castro, III, of Heiland’s management firm the Karrington Group, LLC based in Ohio. “Joe is excited about the opportunity to fight for MFC and is looking forward to the challenge”.

Heilands MFC debut is scheduled for September 26th in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with an opponent expected to be named in the next few weeks. Heiland fans in the Midwest and beyond will be able to view the September 26th bout via television on both HDnet and the Fight Network in Canada.
