Hall of Fame Referee Richard Steele and Steve Oshins, co-owners of Steele Cage Promotions, LLC (www.steelecage.com) and the International Fighting Organization, LLC (IFO), are pleased to announce Eric "Big E" Pele, one of its fighters slated to battle in the Steele Cage at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 21, 2007. Steele Cage has signed some of MMA's biggest names for this show.

Las Vegas resident Eric "Big E" Pele (10-3) is currently ranked as the #4 Super Heavyweight (266+) fighter in the world by MMARanks.com and has a big win in only 2:40 over the #2 ranked Super-Heavyweight Antonio Silva (Pictures) in December of 2006. Never one to back down from a challenge, Pele's last two fights, both for Bodog, were against Antonio Silva (Pictures) and Aleksander Emelianenko (Pictures), two of the world's top fighters. For this Steele Cage fight, Pele has dropped down to fight at 265 pounds against Antoine "Herc" Hayes (6-3), a tough competitor who has shown that he doesn't back down from anybody and has a style of fighting that will turn this fight into a brawl. This battle will be one of the feature fights on a star-studded fight card featuring two championship fights.
