Las Vegas, Nevada - July 4, 2007 - Hall of Fame Boxing Referee Richard Steele and Steve Oshins, co-owners of Steele Cage Promotions, LLC (www.steelecage.com) and the International Fighting Organization, LLC (IFO), announce the long anticipated Internet launch of their theme song which can be heard online at www.myspace.com/steelecagecombat. This launch coincides with Steele Cage's upcoming mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion to be held on July 7, 2007 (7/7/7) at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Steele Cage/IFO theme song was written and performed by reggaeton star Javier Voltaje, ex-founding member of Clan 537, a popular Cuban music group, currently number one on the music charts in Cuba. Voltaje is an accomplished performer and skilled songwriter who wrote all the tracks for CLAN 537's first album. His new CD includes the hit song Cubajala, which has topped the radio charts in Europe. Reggaeton blends Jamaican music influences of reggae with those of Latin America, as well as that of rap and hip hop. "We are honored that an international star such as Javier would create and perform the Steele Cage theme song," stated John "Ski" Stachofsky, Vice President of Steele Cage Promotions.
This launch comes just days before Steele Cage's highly anticipated MMA event on July 7, 2007 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada which will be televised on Mark Cuban's HDNet (www.HD.Net), available in more than five million homes. The event features ten exciting bouts, including three IFO title fights. Marvin "The Beastman" Eastman (13-7-1) will be fighting Rob "The Rosedale Reaper" Kimmons (17-2) for the IFO Middleweight Championship, Brandon Shelton (15-1) will be squaring off against Eric Payne (20-6) for the IFO Featherweight Championship and Wes "The Project" Sims (18-9-1) will be dualing Chris Guillen (Pictures) (34-7) for the IFO Heavyweight Championship.
