WHAT: Official fighter weigh-ins for Friday's Strikeforce mixed martial arts mega-event headlined by the long-awaited Strikeforce World Lightweight Championship showdown between reigning champion Gilbert "El Nino" Melendez and number one contender, Josh "The Punk" Thomson.
In other world championship action, Strikeforce World Light Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Southworth (Pictures), will face off with Anthony "El Toro" Ruiz.
Joe "Diesel" Riggs will collide with rising star, Luke Stewart (Pictures), and Cung Le (Pictures) protege, Elaina "Beef" Maxwell, will battle Miesha Tate. Making his highly-anticipated MMA debut, undefeated World Combat League Champion and world number one rated Sport Karate competitor, Raymond "The Real Deal" Daniels, will take on Jeremiah Metcalf (Pictures).
The live HDNet telecast of the Strikeforce event will begin at 7:30 PM PST (10:30 PM EST).
