“After our first event in May the response has been amazing from fans, fighters and sponsors. That has given us the foundation to take SCC 2 to a different level,” SCC fight promoter Ryan Langmaid said. “Josh Neer and John Alessio will both face tough fighters in the main and co-main event. And I can’t wait to see Justin Buchholz and Thiago Meller go to war. Justin’s knockout from SCC 1 just passed 200,000 views on YouTube, but I bet Thiago, being a Blackhouse MMA fighter, will be ready for that front kick.”

Tickets for SCC 2 go on sale Friday July 1st, at 12 p.m. PT and will be priced at $35.00, $50.00, $75.00 and $125.00. SCC fans on Facebook, www.facebook.com/superiorcagecombat, will have the opportunity to purchase tickets from June 29th, two days before the official release. Tickets will be available at the Orleans Arena Box Office (888-234-2334), on www.orleansarena.com and on www.superiorcagecombat.com.

The Main Event of the night will feature 10 time UFC vet Josh “The Dentist” Neer, he will be taking on Las Vegas local, and six time WEC vet, Blas Avena. Neer has had a high profile career with 40 fights to his credit. He has fought in the UFC 10 times, against top flight fighters such as Nick Diaz, Josh Burkman, Joe Stevenson, Melvin Guillard, Nate Diaz, Gleison Tibau, Eddie Alvarez and many more.

“Josh is the kind of fighter fans love because he never takes a step backward, is always ready for a war, and doesn’t know the meaning of a boring fight! People know if they fight Neer, win or lose, they are probably going to get hurt and will definitely know they have been in the fight of their life” SCC fight promoter Ryan Langmaid said.

All of that doesn’t scare Blas Avena. He is ready for the challenge and looks to skyrocket his career with a win over Neer. Avena has taken on tough challenges in the past, including Brandon Melendez, Logan Clark, Tiki Ghosn, and fellow SCC fighter Dave Terrel. Blas is excited to be fighting such a high profile fight in his hometown and really wants to put on a show for his local fans.

In the co-main event of the evening John “The Natural” Alessio will face Waachiim Spiritwolf. Alessio has fought in about every large organization that there is, including the UFC three times, Dream, WEC seven times, King of the Cage five times, and Pride. He has taken on some of the best in the business including Carlos Condit, Thiago Alves, Diego Sanchez, Pat Miletich, Paul Daley, and many more. Waachiim Spiritwolf is always up for a challenge and this is probably the biggest challenge of his career! He has fought in Strikeforce, Bellator, and King of the Cage, taking on such opponents as Wanderlei Silva protégé Jorge Lopez, Marius Zaromskis, Billy Evangelista and Crafton Wallace.

Leading up to our main and co-main events, we will get the privilege of watching SCC vet, and SCC 1 Knockout of the Night winner, Justin Buchholz taking on Thiago Meller, Eric Wisely facing UFC-vet John Gunderson, Victor Moreno taking on Bristol Marunde, and six more action packed fights.
