Supermodel Presenter Interviewed For The Forthcoming “Ultimate Women Combat” TV Show
(PRESS RELEASE) -- Joanna Krupa, voted 'Sexiest Woman in the World'
is to host the new reality TV show, 'Ultimate Women Combat' to be
broadcast around the world and featuring 8 women contenders
training and battling it out for supreme dominance. The programme
is produced by Lyle Howry Productions Inc and Warrior Promotions
have been appointed Executive Producers.
Before jetting off to her latest assignment, Joanna kindly spoke to CageWarriors.com and answered a few questions about this upcoming project.
You're obviously the Host for Ultimate Women Combat that sees 8 women compete to become the best, so how does that compare with your career as a model?
As a model you are spoiled with hair and make-up artists and live the more glamour life and worry about a nail breaking where in this show the girls will have to work their butts of to get in the most athletic shape and not worry about breaking a nail or the way they look. Don't get me wrong cause in modelling you have to workout and stay in shape and this is just a level higher where you have to be in top fighting shape.....it will definitely be an exciting show to watch where the girls need to get rid of their favourite heels and make-up and compete in becoming the next big woman fighter.
Are you a fan of MMA?
I am a huge fan of the UFC and Gracie jiu jitsu cause I believe not only its the one of the best methods of fighting but also its an amazing form of self defence especially for women. i think it should be mandatory for any woman to learn at least the basics of jiu jitsu as i have started taking lessons at Gracie Miami. I think schools should bring in self defence over useless gym classes.
Who do you admire most in MMA?
I think its amazing to see the different techniques fighters use and its never predictable and that's what makes it exciting to watch....
Do you think women get a fair hand in MMA?
To be honest I am not sure but i don't see why they wouldn't have a fair chance since its all the same moves for men and women unless i am missing something. i am not an expert so can only answer to my knowledge.
Do you train in MMA or any martial arts?
I have started taking Gracie Jitsu classes at the Gracie Miami school and will definitely keep taking them when i can cause its such an important thing to learn to be prepared to defend yourself from any harm.
How do you think you would fare if you became a contender?
Hahahaaha you would never see me becoming a contender unless i am training in my private class with the instructor. that's the farthest i would ever take it as i am very happy being on the watching side of things.
What do you think we can expect from this show? Is it an entertainment first and a combat competition second or vice versa?
Its gonna be a top of the line fight show and will take place in a beautiful exotic location so the viewer will be sitting in intense mode every episode and honestly i don't think i can choose one over the other because i think both elements are very important in making a show top notch.
The tryouts for UK Contenders are being held today 10th December at SBG Gym, Manchester with the US holding their auditions next week when a final list of contenders will be drawn up. So far the response has been terrific from all around the world, making the possibility of increasing the numbers to the show or holding a second show later in the year.
Lyle Howry, President of Lyle Howry Productions, the creators and producers of the show commented ' The response has blown us away in sheer volume and quality of the applicants, it just goes to show that there is a huge talent base out there for Women's MMA so expect some amazing names on the contenders list next week'.
