Mixed Martial Arts Competition Showcases Future Stars

LAS VEGAS, NV - South Point Event Center, 9777 Las Vegas Boulevard South, is slated to host Tuff-N-Uff Presents "Brawl In the Barn!", a mixed martial arts competition. Male and female fighters from Las Vegas and all over the country will compete in this event scheduled for April 14, 2007.

Fighters scheduled to compete include David Smith (Pictures), John Wood, Charles Diaz (Pictures), Chris Kennedy and Ginele Marquez, who is a Las Vegas local.

Top rated female MMA fighter Erin Toughill (Pictures) is scheduled to fight Megan Beaza, who trains with the renowned Gracie Barra team in Anchorage, Alaska. Toughill's husband Clark Bevans puts his undefeated record of 4-0 to the test against TUF star Jesse Forbes.

A special four-man elimination tournament, the first in Nevada, is also scheduled to take place.

"This is the first time that MMA will have a tournament in the fight capital of the world," said Barry Meyer, president of Tuff N' Uff Productions. "Mixed Martial Arts was introduced to North America in 1993 through tournaments like this one." Tickets go on sale Friday, March 16. Ticket prices are $25, $50, $75 and $100 for ring side seating and can be purchased at the South Point Box office, by phone at 797-8055. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the first match starting at 8 p.m.
