TUFF-N-UFF RETURNS TO COX PAVILION JULY 1

(PRESS RELEASE) -- After making its Cox Pavilion debut on Friday, May 27, 2011, TUFF-N-UFF: The Future Stars of MMA, in conjunction with Justice Entertainment Group (JEG), has announced it will return to the venue Friday, July 1 for yet another exciting event. The card is slated to begin at 7 p.m. and will feature some of best amateur fighters in the world. Additionally, JEG and TUFF-N-UFF have announced they will unveil a special tribute that night honoring MMA legend Randy Couture.

“We have a wonderful blueprint planned for the relationship between JEG and TUFF-N-UFF,” said JEG president and COO, Daren Libonati. “Our next fight will be back in the Cox on July 1, as we pay tribute to Xtreme Couture’s Randy Couture in a not-to-miss TUFF-N-UFF presentation.”

A full fight card for this event will be announced in June. Tickets priced at $23, $28, $38 and $55, not including applicable service charges, are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting UNLVTickets.com or TUFFNUFF.com. TUFF-N-UFF is known internationally as the premier amateur MMA fight league that prepares potential stars to become professional fighters. Some of the most renowned mixed martial artists around the globe have come through TUFF-N-UFF and have become highly recognized.

TUFF-N-UFF recently joined forces with JEG as their primary promotion company. JEG is a full-service entertainment, sports and event company that specializes in producing and promoting entertainment and sporting events in arenas, stadiums, theaters and nightclubs around the globe. With this new partnership, JEG is now committed to expanding the highly respected TUFF-N-UFF brand worldwide.

The $16.8 million state-of-the-art Cox Pavilion is a 78,300 square foot, multi-purpose venue connected to the Thomas & Mack Center on the UNLV campus, and serves as the home court for UNLV women's basketball and volleyball teams. The pavilion is a two-level structure. The top level is a multi-purpose venue with a seating capacity of 3,100 and 2,500 for sporting events. In addition to UNLV athletic events, the Cox Pavilion hosts a variety of events, including small concerts, boxing events, theater-style family shows, corporate parties, trade shows and more.
