Truesdale to face Lake at Cage Warriors 44

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Having been left without an opponent following
Jay Mortimore’s withdrawal last week due to injury, Dayman Lake
will now take on fellow undefeated heavyweight Rab Truesdale at
Cage Warriors 44 on Saturday.
Truesdale, a 25-year-old Scot who trains at the Hostile Territory Gym in Alloa, has a 3-0-1 record and was in action as recently as last weekend, defeating Kris Gordon at On Top 3 via TKO (punches) in Round 2.
Lake (1-0-0), one of the UK’s top heavyweight prospects, had a
first round win over Deividas Banaitis in his first professional
bout back in June.
“Losing Jay Mortimore was disappointing but we’re very pleased to have secured a strong replacement in Rab Truesdale,” said Cage Warriors matchmaker Ian Dean.
“Rab fought last weekend so he’s in good shape and is looking forward to the fight. A lot of people, myself included, are looking forward to seeing Dayman in action but Rab comes with an excellent reputation so it should be an interesting battle.
“I’d like to thank Dayman and his team for their patience. Losing a fighter at a late stage is always difficult for everyone involved but they’ve been very accommodating and I appreciate that.”
Cage Warriors 44 at the HMV Forum in Kentish Town, London on Saturday will be headlined by Brian Foster v Jack Mason and Joseph Duffy v Ivan Musardo (CWFC lightweight title fight).
