Tuff-N-Uff returns to GoFightLive.com

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The attention of the MMA world once again turns to Las Vegas this Fourth of July weekend, and while the Ultimate Fighting Championship's "UFC 116: Lesnar vs. Carwin" event sees a heavyweight score settled on Saturday night, 16 female competitors from across the nation take center stage on Friday night for Las Vegas' premier amateur fight organization.

Tuff-N-Uff returns to the Orleans Hotel & Casino's Mardi Gras Ballroom for another night of action-packed mixed martial arts contests on Friday, July 2, and it's the ladies that are prepared to provide the evening's fireworks.

And for those that can't make it Las Vegas for two of the most ambitious female tournaments in amateur mixed martial arts history, Tuff-N-Uff has partnered with GoFightLive.com to provide a live stream of the night's full card.

"MMA:30" host Dave Farra and MMAjunkie.com lead staff reporter John Morgan will call the action for the pay-per-view event.

The chance of earning a belt in one of the nation's premier amateur promotions has caught the attention of some top prospects from across the country.

The featured bout in the 135-pound tournament sees a pair of fighters building on the strengths of similarly timed 23-second victories, as Emily Peters-Kagen (2-0) meets Ashley Weakley (2-0).

Peters-Kagen returns to the Tuff-N-Uff ring after impressing in her 23-second TKO stoppage of Autumn Richardson in May. The Greg Jackson's MMA product meets Weakley, a Disorderly Conduct fighter who recently earned the second win of her career with a 23-second TKO stoppage of Laura McKinley.

The remaining tournament bouts include Rage in the Cage veteran Tsui Cunanan (1-0) vs. Mollie Estes (6-0), Sarah Marang (0-0) vs. Michelle Velebit (0-1) and Amanda Laudland (0-0) vs. Jocelyn Lybarger (0-0).

The winners of the first-round contests in both tournaments will return for the semifinal round on Aug. 6, while the champions will be crowned in the Sept. 24 final round.

In addition to the evening's featured matchups, a full lineup of aspiring amateur fighters from some of the world's top academies, including Greg Jackson's Mixed Martial Arts, Striking Unlimited, TapouT Las Vegas, Team Suffer/Vadnais, Wand Fight Team and Xtreme Couture will compete at the July 2 event.

In a featured rematch in the men's lightweight division, TapouT Las Vegas' Milo Garcia (1-0) and Xtreme Couture fighter Garret Roan Kaip (0-1) will meet. The pair first faced-off in April, when Garcia was awarded a submission win via triangle choke with 19 seconds left in the first round, but Roan Kaip contended then, as now, that he never tapped.

Tickets for Tuff-N-Uff's July 2 event, which start at just $25, are available at the Orleans Hotel & Casino's box office or online at OrleansCasino.com and TuffNUff.net. The pay-per-view stream, which runs just $9.99, can be purchased at GoFightLive.com.

The full fight card is available for viewing at TuffNUff.net. Discount hotel rates are also available at the Orleans Hotel & Casino by calling (702) 365-7111 and utilizing the discount code "0TUFF06."

Come see the future stars of mixed martial arts.
