UFC Style Training Coming to Houston

Houston, TX, July 2, 2007 - Miletich Fighting Systems, a
world-renown mixed martial arts training and fighting style, opens
its official Houston branch training center. Founded by former UFC
Champion Pat Miletich
(Pictures), the Iowa-based school
extends its family, giving all Houstonians the opportunity to train
under the same system as some of UFC's greatest fighters and
champions. Under the tutelage of UFC veteran head trainer and Spike
Television's The Ultimate Fighter reality show alum Sam Hoger (Pictures), The Miletich Fighting Systems
Houston Training Center (MFS Houston) officially opens its doors
July 2, 2007.
To commemorate the launch of the school, MFS Houston will throw a soft grand opening party Friday, June 29, 2007 from 6:00PM-9:00PM with a free introductory class workout as a meet and greet for the school's students and instructors. The following Saturday, June 30, 2007 from 10:00AM-3:00PM, MFS Houston will host a jiu-jitsu seminar with world-renown Eddie Bravo.
MFS was founded in 1997 by Pat Miletich (Pictures) and combines elements of Muay Thai, Boxing, Western Wrestling, Judo, Sambo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. MFS boasts several former mixed martial arts world champions. Its elite-level fighters mostly compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship promotion. MFS fighters also fill the roster of the Quad City Silverbacks, a team in the International Fight League.Current and former championship titleholders from the MFS Team include Pat Miletich (Pictures) himself along with Tim Silvia, Matt Hughes (Pictures), Jens Pulver (Pictures), Robbie Lawler (Pictures), Jeremy Horn (Pictures), Spencer Fischer, Ben Rothwell (Pictures), Jennifer Howe (Pictures), and John Neer.
