UMMAF Selects LAS VEGAS MMA as the Official Promoter for the First Amateur USA NATIONAL MMA Championships

(PRESS RELEASE) -- ST. LOUIS, MO - In May of this year, the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) announced that Las Vegas, Nevada will be the site of its first International Invitational, with over 40 member countries participating in the World Championships of Amateur Mixed Martial Arts. The World Championships will be held in July 2014 and coincide with the Las Vegas UFC Fan Expo, drawing the most talented amateur athletes from around the world. The USA Nationals, also to be held in Vegas this year, will qualify the best USA MMA athletes for eligibility in the World Championships. As IMMAF exclusive national governing body in the USA, the USA Mixed Martial Arts KICK International© Federation (UMMAF) will sanction and oversee the USA Nationals as the sport continues to develop and organize on a global level towards future Olympic recognition. UMMAF has selected Las Vegas MMA Promoter Robert Johnston and Reynolds Management to promote the events in Las Vegas.

Headquartered in St. Louis, MO, the USA Mixed Martial Arts Kick International Federation (UMMAF) is a registered not for profit organization sponsoring a host of programs dedicated to amateur martial arts. The organization was formulated exclusively for the establishment and development of general practices within amateur Mixed Martial Arts in the USA as the official governing body for MMA in the USA representing the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF). The IMMAF is the only World governing body of MMA internationally acknowledged to develop the sport of MMA for future inclusion in the Olympics.
