(PRESS RELEASE) -- On July 18th, MMA fans across Texas will gather at Gamboa’s Outdoor Event Center to cheer on their favorite fighters as they battle it out in the cage during Shark Fight Promotions “Shark Fight 5.5 – Nothing to Lose” event. This much anticipated affair, hosted by Texas based Shark Fight Promotions, is a free admission event for loyal mixed martial arts fans. It promises to be an exciting show for the fans, complete with a card stacked with exciting match ups. Today Shark Fight Promotions added Ultimate Fighter 8 Finalist Vinicius Magalhaes to the card.

Jim Larson, President of Shark Fight Promotions, had this to say, “The free event on July 18th will be held to the same high standard as our paid admission events. Shark Fight 5.5 will have some exciting match ups, including a bout between Vinicius Magalhaes and Marcus Sursa. Magalhaes is a great addition to the card; we are excited to have him.”

MMA fans can come out and enjoy an action packed MMA event without spending a dime. According to Shark Fight Executives, they felt it would be a great way to give back to the fans, especially in today’s economy. Although the event is free, there is no lack of talent on the fight card. The event will feature Shark Fights first Featherweight Title Bout, as well as A-list fighters such as Vinicius Magalhaes, who will be competing in one of four grappling super fights in Las Vegas as this weekend at the UFC's fan expo, and UFC Veterans Douglas Frey and Nissen Osterneck.

Although NO admission will be charged for the “Shark Fight 5.5 – Nothing to Lose” MMA event, fans are encouraged to pick up their tickets in advance. Tickets are available at the Shark Fights store in Amarillo's Westgate Mall. The doors will open at 6:00 pm and fights begin at 8:00 pm.
