Unbeatable- Yoel Romero Pounds Through Another First Round KO

(PRESS RELEASE) -- 1999 World Champion wrestler Yoel Romero Palacio, who also finished second in the 2000 Summer Olympics, moved to 4-0 on his mixed martial arts career with a dominant first round knockout at Fight of the Night 2011 in Germany.

Romero defeated Laszlo Eck, a Bulgarian Muay Thai champion, with a devastating knockout just 33 seconds into the first round, once again proving his dominance inside the mixed martial arts ring. Romero, a 5’10”, 205-pound bull of a fighter, has now finished all four of his opponents via TKO's, and he is looking to come to America later this year to make his debut in the United States.

“I'm ready to prove myself in the big show,” said Romero. “I want to face the toughest competition in the world. I want to prove that my skills go past my opponents here in Europe.”

“Romero is going to be a force to be reckoned with,” said Tina Vidal, Romero's manager from ML Management. “Pay attention because this guy is a World Wrestling Champion and he is going to be World MMA Champion.”

With his younger brother Yoel Pablo Hernandez, currently 24-1 and WBA Cruiserweight Interim World Champion boxer, in his corner, Romero is planning to continue to develop as both a boxer and mixed martial artist. He's already such a feared fighter that 66% of his opponents admit defeat before even entering the ring with Romero.

“Our toughest problem now is finding someone who will fight him,” indicated Vidal. “Funny, I thought fighters wanted to fight, but for his next scheduled fight 10 fighters have declined to fight him- James Lee, Tony Roberts, Ben Lagman and Lew Polley included.”

Romero was named as one of the best upcoming light heavyweight prospects by BloodyElbow.com.
