(PRESS RELEASE) -- Three weekends in a row, three events, another
sell out crowd, and another awesome night was put on by V3Fights at
the Shoals Theatre in Florence, AL. New fans joined the ‘Legion’
and current fans knew they were in for a great night as soon at
they heard the famous words by ring announcer, Mike Kelly,
“HERE WE GO!!!!!”
From the opening bell to the main event, the ‘Legion’ was standing up and cheering on their favorite fighters. “Fight of the Night” honors goes to Anthony Lemon and Dustin Rhodes. This fight is what the term “main event” is all about. Striking, grappling, you name it, and this fight had it. What a way to end V3’s three week tour!!! “Submission of the Night” goes to Brandon Rhodes. In a night of submissions and rear naked choke finishes, it was Rhodes’ third round arm bar that earned him this award. “Knockout of the Night” goes to Matt Ward. It didn’t matter if Ward was on top, bottom, or standing, he put on a great show and was able to stop his opponent in the second with strikes. “Fighter of the Night” goes to Kyle Rogers who took this fight on less than twenty four hours notice. From the opening seconds of the fight he was able to dominate his opponent and secure the win with a first round submission to his opponent. V3 will be back in action on August 30 at the Delta Fair in Memphis, TN.
