Veteran MMA Journalist and TV Host, Mike Straka, Joins the CFFC Commentating Team Beginning this Saturday for CFFC 31!

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Atlantic City, NJ –On Saturday February 8, 2014, veteran journalist and TV host, Mike Straka will join Mike Adams to form Cage Fury Fighting Championships’ (CFFC) new commentating duo. The move was essential as CFFC obtained a domestic television deal that will air CFFC events in over 30 million households across America. CFFC will also being airing "live" in several parts of the world throughout 2014.

Straka, a New Jersey native, brings an invaluable experience to the CFFC team. He once wrestled for Rutgers University and is a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Those experiences will not only give CFFC fans a new perspective while watching fights but he will also bring an unrivaled enthusiasm to calling a fight. "I'm excited to be joining the CFFC commentating team,” said Straka. “Rob Haydak is a fantastic promoter and Arias Garcia makes the matches that MMA fans want to see.”

"Straka is a great addition to our team,” said CFFC President Rob Haydak. “He is one of the most respected commentators in MMA and his coming on board is another step in the right direction for our organization."

Straka is a natural behind and in front of the camera as he has served as a supervising producer on several shows and was seen regularly on “MMA Uncensored Live,” “Fox Fight Game”, and was the UFC correspondent on Fight Now TV. He also hosted his very own popular television show entitled, “Fighting Words with Mike Straka”, where he interviewed the sport’s legends, champions, and rising stars. Straka’s experience also has world wide appeal as he has hosted red carpet coverage of The Oscars, Golden Globes, Grammy’s and Country Music Awards, and has authored two books.

"I've been working in MMA media for several years now, and it's going to be a lot of fun doing play- by-play for the fight fans who expect nothing but the best from CFFC,” concluded Straka.

Mike Adams, who has been commentating since Haydak took over the company in late 2010, was also pleased of the hiring. “When I got the call from Rob, I was excited to hear my new commentating partner would be Mike Straka,” said Adams. “I look forward to building a professional relationship with him and building great chemistry so we can bring the fans what they deserve.”

Starting in 2014, Mike Straka and Mike Adams will bring you all the CFFC action throughout the year with CFFC broadcast partner and mainstay Susie Celek.
