WCO Hits San Diego
WCO Fighting in association with Valor Fighting & Management,
Primal MMA and XCESS FIGHTING presents The Return on January 12 at
San Diego Sports Arena. The event is a true "Super Card", bringing
many of the biggest names in Mixed Martial Arts to San Diego.
In the Main Event, devastating striker and submission specialist Renato "Babalu" Sobral returns to action after his controversial departure from UFC. Sobral battles veteran Lions Den fighter Vernon "Tiger" White to crown the first WCO Light Heavyweight Champion.
The Star studded undercard features former UFC Heavyweight Champion Mark "The Smashing Machine" Kerr, who tries to continue his climb back to the top, as he takes on K-1 standout Rick Roufus. Fellow former UFC Heavyweight Champuion Ricco Rodriguez (Pictures) locks horns with Mike Kyle (Pictures). In what should be an all out slugfest, WCO Super Heavyweight Champion Jimmy "The Titan" Ambriz goes toe to toe with the ultra tough UFC veteran Wesley "Cabbage" Correira. The lineup also boasts UFC veterans David "The Crow" Loiseau, Joe "Diesel" Riggs, Tiki Ghosn (Pictures) and a WCO North American Heavyweight Title bout between Virgil Zwicker and David Mejia (Pictures). At least 12 big fights in all, plus special guests and the smoking hot ladies of WCO. Official after party to be held at Larry Flynt's Hustler Club.
"My goal is to compete with the big boys. I think you can see by the card we have put together that we are making a statement. The fans want great fights and we're giving it to them. Teaming up with Rick Bassman's Valor Fighting will put us over the top. We're here to stay" said Bruce Bellocchi, of The WCO.
The WCO and Valor fighting are donating a portion of the live gate and internet PPV to firemen who lost their homes while battling the fires. Please show your support.
