WSOF27: Three Prelim Bouts Complete Card For January 23

(PRESS RELEASE) -- LAS VEGAS – World Series of Fighting (WSOF.com)
announced today a trio of preliminary card bouts that will complete
its lineup for WSOF27 at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn. on
Saturday, Jan. 23, live on NBCSN at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
The three preliminary card bouts will stream live on an embeddable video player on WSOF.com and precede the four-fight, live NBCSN telecast that will be headlined by a lightweight (155 pounds) showdown between rival stars Mike Ricci (11-4) of Montreal, Quebec, Canada and Caros Fodor (10-4) of Kirkland, Wash.
Topping the undercard bill will be a welterweight (170 pounds)
matchup between Wade
Johnson and Justin
Hartley.
The 25-year-old Johnson (9-1) of Bradford, Ark. is looking to notch his third consecutive victory after scoring a quick, first round (1:30) TKO (punches) on Lawrence Purifoy on September 26.
In one of two lightweight (155 pounds) preliminary card contests, Zach Underwood (13-6) of Memphis will take on Jason Williams (4-7) of Columbus, Miss. while, in the other, Alvin Williams (2-2) of Memphis will collide with Wes Sharp (0-1) of Fayetteville, Ark.

In the light heavyweight (205 pounds) co-main event, heavy-handed finisher Teddy Holder (9-2) of Bartlett, Tenn. will battle undefeated Shamil Gamzatov (9-0) of Makhachkala, Russia.
Gamzatov, the number two ranked light heavyweight in the Ukraine, has yet to be taken past the second round of a fight, while Holder has earned all nine of his professional career wins by way of (T)KO or submission.
