(PRESS RELEASE) -- Wargods, an up-and-coming mixed martial arts organization, is proud to announce that they will be teaming up with Ken Shamrock Productions (KSP) in February of 2009 to put on a MMA Super Fight event in California. The event will take place at the Selland Arena in Fresno. Wargod executives are confident that this will be the organizations best fight card to date, due to the involvement of MMA Legend Ken Shamrock.

We strongly feel that Ken Shamrock and his organization will help take Wargods to the next level. By teaming up with KSP, we hope to broaden our fan base and become an internationally recognized MMA fight promotion company.” states Marcelo Rivas Promoter for Wargods.

Ken Shamrock went on to say, “Wargods has a great reputation in the industry and they put on quality promotions. I am looking forward to the event. I can promise you one thing, together we are going to put on one hell of a show! It is shaping up to be an impressive line-up. And yes, there is a possibility that I will be competing in the main event on this card.”

The event will take place on February 13th, 2009 and has appropriately been named “The Valentine’s Eve Massacre.” The official fight card is yet to be announced, but MMA fans will not be disappointed. The card will feature almost a dozen mixed martial arts battles. Fans can expect to see former EliteXC stars, MMA fighters from Wargods and Ken Shamrock’s Lion’s Den Elite Team, as well as many other A-list fighters. This event will also mark the debut of Wargods Female MMA division, the “Wargodesses” featuring MMA stand out Tonya Evinger, the electric Jennifer Tate.

According to executives from both organizations, several elite MMA Champions are being considered for the main event. The co-main event will feature Wargods current Heavyweight Champion, Lavar “Big” Johnson and current Gladiator Challenge Heavyweight Champion Buddy Roberts; followed by bouts featuring Welterweight Mike Moreno, undefeated lightweight sensation Isaac De Jesus. The fight card will also feature Ken Shamrock’s son Ryan Shamrock and Fresno’s own Team Buhawe Prodigy, Zoila Frausto.
