(PRESS RELEASE) -- X-1 World Events, Hawaii’s premier fight promotion, will hold a special press conference this Saturday, October 24, live at the Tropics Recreation Center on Schofield Barracks. This press conference will also include special opportunities for the fighters to sign autographs for the fans, as well as take pictures. X-1’s special guest will be UFC superstar Chris Leben, whose gym, The Ultimate Fight School, is supplying fighters for the upcoming “Scuffle on Schofield II: Homebound Heroes” event.

With 4,500 soldiers returning home from Iraq between the months of September and October, X-1 World Events, MWR, and Tropics Recreation Center is partnering up to hold an MMA show live on Schofield Barracks. In order to build morale for these homecoming heroes, X-1 has brought together the communities of the general public with the military for a night of great fight action.

“We are excited for the opportunity to provide entertainment for our fighting men and women!,” exclaimed Mike Miller, founder of X-1 World Events. “They deserve everything we can do for them, and seeing their smiles as they watch the X-1 fighters put on a great show for them makes it all worth it.”

Fans are encouraged to come out and meet the fighters of X-1 World Events, and get autographs and pictures with these athletes, as well as special guest UFC Star and owner of the Ultimate Fight School, Chris Leben!
