XFC and Terra Announce Digital Broadcast Partnership

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Sao Paulo, BR - One of the largest MMA organizations in the world, XFC, has closed an innovative deal with the Terra network. The sports company will broadcast their fights, alongside other original content on a dedicated Terra channel. Exclusively through the Terra website, fans will be able to watch, all XFC events in full, just days after their live broadcast.

The first event of the year, XFCi 9, will take place on March 14th at the Sao Paulo Football Club Gymnasium, available on-demand March 18th on Terra. The event is headlined by the promotion’s first ever Flyweight World Championship fight between Allan Nascimento (14-2) and Bruno Azevedo (12-2).

In addition to broadcast rights, TerraTV will also have a weekly XFC show with breaking news, interviews and first-hand XFC content. Leading the show will be experienced TerraTV host Fabio Salomao along side MMA journalist / hostess Renata Aymore. The premier show will take place on Tuesday March 3rd, at 1pm EST / 3PM Sao Paulo time.

XFC has plans for eight events throughout Brazil & Latin America in 2015, along with two in the United States and an additional two in Europe.

With a monthly audience of around 100 million people, according to comScore, Terra is present in 17 countries; providing entertainment, sports, news content and services. The company has extensive expertise in covering and broadcasting major events, being a reference for important sporting events such as the UEFA League, European football championships and the Olympic Games.

At XFCi 9 several of those Season I tournament champions will debut in the Superfight Series, now in hopes of becoming XFC World Champions.

XFC events are broadcast live by RedeTV with a weekly show on Saturdays. They also have media partnerships with HBO Latin America, UOL, and now TerraTV, taking them into more homes than ever before. On March 14th at XFCi 9 the event will be headlined by the promotion's inaugural Men's Flyweight World Championship Superfight and co-headlined by the Season II Women's International Flyweight Tournament Finale between Antonia Silvaneide vs Poliana Botelho.
