It took a full five rounds to get there, but Brendan Allen got his revenge.

“All In” outlasted Chris Curtis in the UFC Fight Night 240 main event, winning a hard-fought split decision on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. With the victory, Allen avenges a 2021 defeat to Curtis and extends his UFC winning streak to seven — six of which have occurred at 185 pounds. While Allen may yet have more work to do to achieve his desired middleweight title shot, he does supplant Paulo Costa in the Top 10 of the latest divisional rankings.

Elsewhere, women’s flyweights were on display during the Professional Fighters League season opener on Thursday night in San Antonio. Bellator champ Liz Carmouche improved to 3-0 against Juliana Velasquez with a three-round verdict, while Taila Santos rolled past an overmatched Ilara Joanne via first-round submission. Perhaps the biggest loser in this equation is Velasquez, a former Bellator flyweight queen who hasn’t won a fight since July 2021. She falls out of the rankings entirely, clearing the way for 2023 PFL Europe champion Dakota Ditcheva — who was also victorious on Thursday — to enter the poll at No. 15.

Finally, Norma Dumont completed a successful move to 135 pounds, as she outpointed former title challenger Germaine de Randamie in a preliminary bout at UFC Fight Night 240. While de Randamie has been out of action for quite some time, besting “The Iron Lady” is still no small feat. That victory allows Dumont to enter the bantamweight rankings at No. 10.
