The evening's main event featuring Matt Lindland (Pictures) and Carlos Newton (Pictures) was made official after both middleweights stepped off the scale at an even 185 pounds. In team action, Tucson Scorpions middleweight Shane Johnson (Pictures) failed to make weight and was forced out of team competition against the Tokyo Sabres. Replacing the 185-pound fight, lightweight alternates Masaaki Izena (Pictures) and Matt Ver Halen (Pictures) take to the ring.
