David Goulet vs Donald Ouimet

Sep 29, 2004
David Goulet (5 - 1) vs. Donald Ouimet (7 - 3) The main event of the night pitted the two Quebecers against each other in a highly anticipated rematch for the Canadian Lightweight belt. In their first meeting, a controversial ref stoppage awarded the win to Ouimet and crowned him the new LW Champ. Both fighters came out to prove the belt was rightfully theirs. The bout was a standup war that had the crowd divided between cheering for each combatant. Each scored with strikes; Goulet landing a heavy had to knock Ouimet back, and Ouimet returning the favour by backing Goulet into the corner and giving him a few knees before taking him down to close the round. Round 2 had the two come charging out of their corners again, itching to continue. Ouimet was first to land though, with a hard left to knock down Goulet and get the definitive TKO victory at 0:22 of Round 2. The TKO organization continues to grow, bringing bigger and better fights to the fans of Quebec. With the recent signing of a lineup of fighters to the TKO name, there is no shortage of talent within this organization. TKO can always be counted on to put on a great show, with talented athletes fighting their hearts out to entertain an always-appreciative audience. Look for future TKO events to continue to bring even bigger fights to Quebec, giving many Canadian fighters the forum they need to showcase their skills and gain much-deserved recognition.
